What We Build

Where lighting stops being wiring

Cove, grazing and slat detail

Continuous runs with no visible hot spots, dimmed to the right level and color temperature. The detail only reads correctly if the fixture, the driver and the reveal are coordinated before drywall.

Motorized shades and scenes

Shades, lighting and fans on one system, programmed into scenes people actually use — not twelve keypad buttons nobody remembers.

Chandeliers and feature fixtures

Heavy fixtures on double-height ceilings need blocking, a rated box and a plan for how it gets serviced later. We think about that before it goes up.

Landscape and facade lighting

Uplighting, path lighting, grazing on facades and pool lighting — aimed at night, after install, which is the only time you can actually judge it.

How We Work

Designer-led, executed clean

  1. We read the design intent

If there’s an interior designer or architect, we work to their drawings and flag what won’t physically work before it becomes a problem in the field.

  2. Rough-in with the detail in mind

Cove depth, driver locations, service access and shade pockets get resolved at rough-in. After drywall, every one of those is expensive.

  3. Fixture and control coordination

We confirm dimming compatibility between fixture, driver and control before anything is ordered. Flicker at the end of a job is a coordination failure, not bad luck.

  4. Programming and scenes

Scenes set with the client in the room, at night, adjusted until it looks right. Then labeled so it stays usable.

  5. Aiming and final walk

Landscape and accent lighting aimed after dark. Daytime aiming is guessing.

Why It Matters

The three things that ruin good lighting

Dimming that flickers

Almost always a mismatch between LED driver and dimmer. It’s solvable at specification and painful afterward, so we check compatibility before the order goes in.

Uneven cove runs

Visible scallops and hot spots come from the wrong tape density or a reveal that’s too shallow. Both get decided at rough-in, months before anyone sees the light.

Systems nobody uses

A control system with unlabeled buttons and thirty scenes gets abandoned. We program fewer scenes, name them plainly, and walk the client through it.

Questions

What people ask before they call

Do you install Lutron Caséta or other systems?

We work extensively with Lutron Caséta — lighting, dimmers, motorized shades and fans. If your designer specified another system, tell us and we’ll be straight about whether we’re the right installer.

Can you retrofit an existing home?

Yes. Much of what we do is remodels, including full electrical remodels in occupied and high-end homes. Retrofit takes more planning, and we scope it that way.

Do you work with interior designers?

Regularly. One of our current projects is a designer-led beachfront remodel with whole-home Caséta, executed under a GC.

Can you do landscape lighting too?

Yes, and we aim it at night. Landscape and facade lighting is some of our most-photographed work.

What about older homes in a floodplain?

We’ve done it — electrical components elevated to code in floodplain construction, on a three-level beachfront property. It changes the rough-in plan, so it has to be designed in from the start.

★★★★★

"Edgar did an excellent job installing our security cameras. Everything was done very professionally, clean, and organized. He took the time to explain how the system works and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving."
